STUD REGISTRATION SCHEME

Following the changes to the way stud names are recorded, the British Cavy Council are now operating a unified Stud Prefix Registration Scheme on behalf of all clubs and members. The unified Scheme ensures that a prefix ma only belong to a single named exhibitor or partnership.

Any Stud names already registered with the National Cavy Club have been included in the new BCC list. Any members who wish to register a new stud name can do so by writing to the BCC Scheme Organiser at the address below. You will need to quote your name and address, the stud name desired and an alternative. You will also need to enclose payment of the required fee of five pounds (cheques payable to the British Cavy Council). You will be informed that a prefix has been allocated to you and issued with a registration certificate, or asked to choose again if both alternatives have been allocated to another fancier.

The BCC Stud Prefix Registration Scheme is the only scheme recognised as valid for entries under NCC rules. So if you wish to show or claim champions using a Stud name be registered.
