NCC AFFILIATION
SCHEME
Some show/club secretaries are under the impression
that the cards they receive for the National Cavy Club’s show support scheme
are the cards that count towards claims for prizes offered by the Star
Scheme. THIS IS NOT THE CASE!!!
The cards currently offered for show support (which clubs have to apply
for), are generally offered for Best Self, Best Non Self and Best Juvenile
etc. to enable fanciers who win those cards to apply for rosettes/diplomas
which are offered in the way of show support. – NOTHING TO DO WITH THE STAR
SCHEME !
The first prize cards for each breed class are the
ones which the exhibitor uses to claim their prizes in the Star Scheme.
All clubs may affiliate to the NCC for an annual fee: this fee includes
public liability insurance and also enables the affiliated club to hold NCC
star shows.
The benefits offered include:
- automatic insurance cover at all shows held by the
affiliated society during the year.
- covering exhibitors, visitors and workers against
accidents received whilst at the show.
- Star Scheme Participation.
- National Executive Committee advice or mediation
where requested to clubs with internal disputes or problems.
COSTS
Cost of Affiliation to include Insurance and Star Scheme

-
Apply for stars for the shows to
be organised accompanied by the appropriate fee.
-
Include at the top of the advert to be published
in Cavies and on printed schedules whether the show is a National Cavy Club

Indicate the number of NCC stars on the back of
all breed class first prize cards. The cards should also be signed on the
back by the show secretary. Cards should also state date of show and judge.
ACTION TO BE
TAKEN BY EXHIBITORS
All first prize cards to be used for
the claiming of stars must be signed by the judge: if sex and breed of the
Cavy are not on the front of the card, the exhibitor must write details on
the back of the card before the judge signs. When sufficient stars have been
accumulated by one particular exhibit, the first prize cars should be sent
to the Affiliation and Star Scheme Secretary.

same 12 month period.
All cards should be sent to the Star Scheme Secretary.
-
Breed class wins only to count.
-
